Position:

Due to continued business growth and increasing customer demand, Kialla Auto and Panels is seeking to fill two (2) full-time Motor Mechanic (General) positions. The successful candidates will play a key role in maintaining, diagnosing, servicing, and repairing a wide range of vehicles to ensure safety, reliability, and customer satisfaction.

These positions offer an excellent opportunity for qualified mechanics to join a reputable automotive workshop and build a long-term career within a supportive and professional team environment. Task & responsibilities

  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical and minor electrical faults in motor vehicles.
  • Perform routine vehicle servicing, maintenance, and safety inspections.
  • Repair and replace engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, suspension, and other vehicle components.
  • Use diagnostic equipment and specialised tools to identify faults and recommend repair solutions.
  • Conduct road tests to verify repairs and vehicle performance.
  • Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with manufacturer specifications and workshop standards.
  • Follow workplace health and safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment.
  • Provide professional customer service and communicate repair requirements when necessary.

Qualification & experience

  • Cert III in Light Vehicle Mech Technology plus 2 years of relevant training or work Experience or Cert IV
  • At least 2 years of relevant post-qualification work experience.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive systems, diagnostics, and repair procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Reliable, punctual, and committed to delivering high-quality workmanship.
