We are seeking a motivated and reliable Communications Technician to join our growing team. The primary focus of this role is the installation, fit-off, and commissioning of communications cabinets and associated infrastructure across commercial and industrial projects.
This position would suit someone with hands-on experience in communications, data, fibre, or network infrastructure installations. An electrical licence is advantageous but not essential.
Fit-off and terminate communications cabinets, racks, and enclosures.
Install and dress copper and fibre optic cabling.
Install patch panels, switches, routers, and associated communications equipment.
Label, test, and document communications installations.
Read and interpret drawings, schematics, and project documentation.
Maintain high standards of workmanship and site safety.
Liaise with project managers, electricians, and clients to ensure successful project delivery.
Experience fitting off communications cabinets and communications infrastructure.
Knowledge of structured cabling systems and industry best practices.
Experience with copper and/or fibre optic terminations.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship.
Current driver's licence.
White Card.
Open Cabling Registration (ACMA).
Fibre optic certification or experience.
Electrical Licence (preferred but not essential).
Experience in commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
Testing and fault-finding experience.
