JOEST Australia is looking for an experienced and hands-on Assembly Workshop Team Lead to join our busy production team. This fast-paced role offers an immediate opportunity to step into a key role and make an impact in a collaborative team culture environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead, supervise and allocate job scopes to a workshop team including Apprentices, Trade Assistants and Qualified Tradespersons, fostering a positive and high-performance culture focussed on safety, quality and productivity.
Provide day-to-day direction and support the workshop operations; the assembly, testing, painting and dispatching of vibrating machines and associated equipment to ensure production schedules, milestones and customer delivery targets are achieved.
Promote and maintain commitment to workplace safety with compliance to all company policies, procedures and legislative requirements.
Manage workshop documentation, conduct regular performance evaluations, manage inspections and monitor corrective actions
Collaborate with key stakeholders and internal departments, participating in regular planning and coordination activities while driving continuous improvement to optimise processes and enhance delivery targets.
Qualifications and Skills:
Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting, Boiler-making, Fabrication or related mechanical discipline.
Demonstrated experience supervising or leading workshop personnel in a manufacturing, mining services or heavy industrial environment.
Well developed inter-personal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders and motivate workshop team.
Strong organisational skills and problem solving ability.
Proficient computer literacy in Microsoft Office, especially Outlook and Excel. Experience with ERP software systems would be desirable.
Current WA drivers licence.
Forklift licence, desirable.
