As a global leader in manufacturing elastomeric-covered rollers and sleeves, consumables for the printing and packaging industry, rubber compounds, and escalator handrails, our Australian operations, established in 1998, are based in Smithfield, NSW, where we focus on high-quality manufacturing processes.
About The Opportunity
As a Fitter & Turner, you will be trained in every facet of our roller manufacturing operations. Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting proof grinding and end trimming/final grinding
- Preparing and recovering rollers through various processes
- Executing the disassembly and removal of used material processing
- Implementing quality control measures to ensure top product standards
- Identifying and confirming roller/sleeve specifications and inspection processes
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- Experience in manufacturing or similar environments
- A proactive approach to learning and adapting to new processes
- Excellent communication skills to work collaboratively within a team
- A strong background in fitting and turning, with a keen eye for detail
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and engineering drawings
