Task & responsibilities

Responsibilities:

•    Applies paint, protective coatings, and other finishes to metal surfaces, equipment, and structures to protect against corrosion, enhance durability, and meet client specifications.

Duties:

•    Prepare metal surfaces for painting through abrasive blasting, sanding, cleaning, and other surface preparation methods.

•    Apply industrial coatings, primers, and paints using spray guns, brushes, and rollers.

•    Operate and maintain blasting and painting equipment, including blast pots, airless spray units, and associated tools.

•    Read and interpret paint specifications, technical data sheets, and manufacturer application instructions.

•    Inspect completed work to ensure coating quality, thickness, and finish meet required standards.

•    Maintain a safe and clean work environment and comply with workplace health and safety procedures.

•    Handle and store paints, coatings, and related materials in accordance with safety and environmental requirements.

Qualification & experience

Qualifications:

•    Certificate III (or equivalent), including at least two years of on-the-job training,

•    OR Certificate IV (or Equivalent)

Experience:

•    Experience in industrial painting and sandblasting

•    At least three years of relevant experience
