Wall and Floor Tiler

BRAVI TILING PTY LTD is seeking a skilled Wall and Floor Tiler to carry out wall and floor tiling works across residential and commercial projects. The role involves surface preparation, waterproofing, tile installation, grouting and finishing works. Relevant trade qualifications or at least three years of industry experience are required.

Task & responsibilities

• Review project plans, drawings and specifications to determine tiling requirements and installation methods. 
• Measure and mark surfaces to accurately plan tile layouts and achieve the desired finish. 
• Prepare wall and floor surfaces for tiling by removing old tiles, grout and adhesives, and repairing or levelling surfaces where required. 
• Apply waterproofing systems to bathrooms, laundries, balconies and other wet areas in accordance with industry standards.
• Mix and apply adhesives using appropriate tools and techniques. 
• Install ceramic, porcelain, marble, stone and mosaic tiles on internal and external wall and floor surfaces. 
• Cut and shape tiles to fit around corners, edges, fixtures, fittings and pipe penetrations while maintaining a high-quality finish. 
• Ensure tiles are correctly aligned, levelled and evenly spaced in accordance with project specifications. 
• Apply grout between tiles, remove excess grout and clean finished tiled surfaces.
• Carry out quality checks throughout the installation process to ensure work meets company and industry standards. 
• Provide repair, replacement and maintenance services for damaged or worn tiled surfaces when required. 
• Work collaboratively with supervisors, builders and other trades to ensure projects are completed on time and to a high standard.
• Communicate effectively with clients and provide advice regarding tile maintenance and care.

Qualification & experience

• Relevant Certificate III or Certificate IV qualification in Wall and Floor Tiling, or at least three years of relevant industry experience.
• Demonstrated experience in residential and/or commercial tiling projects.
• Experience working with ceramic, porcelain, marble, natural stone and mosaic tiles.
• Knowledge of waterproofing systems, adhesives, grouts and tiling installation techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, drawings and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• White Card and current driver's licence preferred.
