The Role
We are seeking an experienced Service Advisor to join our busy Service Department at Bayswater Jayco.
This is a front-line customer-facing role and will suit someone who enjoys variety, responsibility, and working in a fast-paced service environment. You will be the key link between our customers and our workshop, managing the service journey from booking through to caravan collection.
Strong communication skills, confidence on the phone, and the ability to remain professional and composed when dealing with challenging situations are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the primary point of contact for service customers, both face-to-face and over the phone
Book caravans in for servicing, repairs, warranty work and accessory fitments
Maintain regular communication with customers regarding job progress, timeframes and approvals
Prepare and explain service, repair and warranty quotes and gain approval for additional work
Liaise closely with the Workshop Controller, technicians and parts department to ensure work is completed efficiently and correctly
Follow up parts orders and rebook customers where required
Accurately process job cards, invoices and warranty documentation
Manage customer concerns and complaints professionally, escalating where required
Support pre-delivery and handover processes when needed
About You (Must Have)
Previous Service Advisor, Service Reception or similar customer-facing service experience
Background or aptitude in caravans, RVs, automotive or workshop environments
Excellent phone manner and confident verbal communication skills
Strong customer service focus with the ability to explain technical information clearly
High level of resilience and professionalism when managing difficult or emotionally charged customer interactions
Ability to remain calm under pressure and work toward practical, fair outcomes
Strong time management and organisational skills
Sound computer skills (dealer management systems and Microsoft Office)
Team-oriented attitude with a positive, professional approach
Day-to-Day Duties May Include
Meeting and greeting service customers
Managing inbound and outbound customer calls
Keeping customers informed of caravan service progress
Coordinating courtesy arrangements where applicable
Estimating costs and timeframes for service and repair work
Gaining approval for additional work as required
Following up customers and resolving concerns
