Are you an experienced trainer or mechanic/technician ready to step off the tools while staying connected to the industry?
Mechanist is looking for automotive professionals to mentor and assess apprentices across Queensland in a mobile workplace-based training role.
This is a fantastic opportunity for senior technicians, workshop managers, service advisors or industry trainers who want to help develop the next generation of automotive technicians.
You’ll travel to workshops to support apprentices in real work environments, helping them progress through their automotive qualifications.

We currently deliver training in:
Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology
Automotive Electrical / Hybrid Technology
Diesel / Heavy Vehicle Mechanics
Underbody and Tyre Fitting
This is a mobile field role, visiting automotive workshops to:
Mentor and support apprentices
Conduct workplace assessments
Review training progress and competency
Work closely with employers to ensure successful outcomes
You will manage apprentices across your allocated region.
Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent)
Strong automotive industry experience
Current driver’s licence
Good organisation and communication skills
Passion for mentoring apprentices
