Field service technician

Satake Australia, part of the global Satake Corporation, supplies industry-leading processing and optical sorting equipment used across 150+ countries. Our equipment is primarily used in the grain, seed and nut industries to ensure the final products are defect free and meet quality standards. We’re looking for an experienced Field Service Technician to join our Technical Services team.

About the Role

• Commission and service high-tech optical sorters and processing equipment (training provided)

• Provide on-site and remote after-sales support

• Conduct product testing and prepare technical reports

• Office duties including applications testing and workshop tasks

• Ideally Sydney based, with the requirement for extensive travel (~70% of working time) across rural Australia and the Pacific region (NZ, Fiji, PNG)

What You’ll Bring

• Experience with electro-mechanical equipment

• Ability to read electrical schematics

• Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-focused approach

• Ability to work independently and follow procedures

• Good English communication and solid MS Office skills

• Willingness to travel frequently

• Full Australian Driver’s Licence and the right to work in Australia unrestricted
