About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our maintenance team and work closely with our onsite Maintenance Manager. This is your opportunity to develop your leadership skills while ensuring our facilities run efficiently and supporting the growth of your team.

As Maintenance Supervisor, you'll play a vital role in our operations, coordinating maintenance activities, responding to critical issues, and driving continuous improvement across our site.

What You'll Be Doing

Supporting Your Team

  • Train, develop and mentor maintenance personnel to build their technical capabilities

  • Assist with recruitment and rostering to ensure optimal team coverage

  • Foster a positive team culture focused on safety, quality and collaboration

Delivering Operational Excellence

  • Coordinate maintenance tasks to minimise downtime

  • Conduct regular maintenance inspections and respond swiftly to breakdowns

  • Support the implementation of preventative maintenance activities

  • Identify and recommend opportunities for continuous improvement

Championing Safety

  • Ensure WHS compliance across all maintenance activities

  • Monitor and protect the safety of your team and others affected by maintenance work

  • Actively participate in safety consultation and reporting

What We're Looking For

Essential Requirements:

  • Proven supervisory experience in a maintenance environment

  • Trade background with hands-on technical expertise

  • Experience in processing or production environments

  • Staff rostering experience and conflict resolution skills

  • Strong planning, analytical and problem-solving abilities

  • Excellent communication skills at all levels

  • A hands-on approach with strategic thinking capability

Highly Desirable:

  • Fitting or electrical trade qualification

  • Meat processing industry experience

  • Advanced first aid certification

  • Current forklift and EWP tickets
