About the role

MSS Security is seeking NV1 Cleared Security Officers to join our team as Full Time Relievers, working across a range of client sites throughout Melbourne. As a reliever, you will support multiple locations, ensuring high standards of security and customer service are maintained at all times.

This position offers a Level 4 pay rate of $28.86 per hour, plus super and shift penalties where applicable.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Conducting foot patrols, ensuring people are safe and the building is secure.
• Monitor and control access to the premises, ensuring only authorised individuals enter.
• Oversee CCTV systems to detect and respond to security threats.
• Provide excellent customer service and assist visitors with inquiries.
• Respond promptly and professionally to security incidents or emergencies.

Ideal candidates will have:

• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong customer service skills and a professional presentation.
• A readiness, confidence and assertiveness to manage challenging situations.
• Previous experience in security or a related field (control room experience highly desirable).

Requirements:

• Must be an Australian Citizen.
• Hold a current NV1 Clearance (or willing to obtain).
• Valid Victorian Security Licence.
• Valid Victorian Drivers Licence.
• Working With Children Check (or willing to obtain).
• Valid First Aid & CPR Certificates (or willing to obtain).
• Willing to undergo a National Police Check.
• 24/7 Availability to work a rotating roster.
• Ability to walk up to 15,000 steps per shift as part of routine patrols.
