We’re expanding and looking for an experienced Lifting Equipment Inspector to join our expert team.
About the Role
As a Lifting Equipment Inspector at Lucon Industries, you’ll be responsible for inspecting and testing a variety of lifting equipment, ensuring compliance with Australian safety standards. This is an exciting opportunity to work across different industrial environments and collaborate with a highly skilled team.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform inspections and functional tests on lifting equipment (chains, slings, shackles, hooks, cranes, hoists).
Inspect flexible steel wire rope systems on various types of cranes and equipment
Utilize start of the art NTD tooling and reporting software
Ensure all lifting gear meets safety standards and regulatory compliance.
Log, track and share inspection reports.
Analyze data and trends to identify potential issues and ensure continuous safety improvement.
Coordinate with maintenance teams to schedule regular inspections.
Prepare and submit detailed inspection reports with recommendations for repairs or replacements.
Maintain accurate documentation and equipment certification records.
Skills & Experience:
Previous experience in lifting equipment inspections is essential.
Dogman/ intermediate rigging tickets
Proficiency in using computer systems for managing records, inspections, and data analysis.
Strong report writing skills with attention to detail.
Ability to analyze data to identify trends and ensure equipment safety.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work both autonomously and within a team.
Knowledge of relevant safety standards and industry regulations.
