About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electronic Instrument Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair electronic equipment, instruments and control systems for our food processing operations in South Murwillumbah. 

This is a hands-on role supporting operational reliability, fault-finding, comissioning and preventing maintenance across our food processing machinery and equipment. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Examine and test machine, equipment, instruments and control systems to diagnose faults
  • Adjust, repair, and replace worn or defective parts, wiring and components
  • Reassemble, test-operate and calibrate equipement to required specifications
  • Install, modify and maintain electronic instruments and control systems
  • Support commissioning and ongoing maintenance using electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic principles
  • Provide advide to operators on correct operating procedures to prevent malfunctions
  • Maintain service records, jobs reports and compliance documentation
  • Follow WHS requirements and site procedures at all times

Skills & Experience Required

  • Minimum 1 year experience working on food production machinery and equipment, including sprouting and activation systems, industrial dehydrators, automated packaging machines, weighing and filling equipment, vacuum sealers and ancillary production line equipment
  • Demostrated experience in electronic fault finding, repair and preventable maintenance
  • Experience with instruments and control systems (PLC/SCADA exposure desirable) or electronic equipment servicing in a commercial or industrial setting
  • Ability to interpret schematics, manuals and technical drawings
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

  • Certificate or apprenticeship in Electronics or Electrical (or equivalent)
