Are you passionate about Acrobatic Gymnastics and helping athletes reach their potential? Mackay Gymnastics is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Acrobatic Gymnastics Coach to join our growing Acro program. Working with both individual athletes and partnerships, you will play a key role in developing skills, confidence, teamwork, and a lifelong love of the sport within a positive and supportive coaching environment.

This role offers a unique opportunity for the right candidate to play a key role in the future development of our Acrobatic Gymnastics program, with strong potential for progression into a Program Lead/Team Leader position and increased coaching hours as the program continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop, and deliver high-quality Acrobatic Gymnastics training programs for competitive athletes and senior squad levels
  • Create and implement structured lesson plans that support athlete progression, skill development, performance outcomes, and competition readiness
  • Coach and mentor athletes in a safe, positive, and high-performance environment
  • Prepare athletes and partnerships for competitions, including routine development, skill progression, and performance preparation
  • Monitor athlete development and provide ongoing feedback to athletes and families
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and team-focused culture that promotes athlete wellbeing and success
  • Work collaboratively with fellow coaches, team leaders, and club management to achieve program goals
  • Maintain current knowledge of Acrobatic Gymnastics coaching practices, technical requirements, and competition pathways

Essential Requirements

  • Acrobatic Gymnastics Advanced Coach Accreditation (or higher)
  • Minimum 3 years' experience coaching competitive Acrobatic Gymnastics athletes at a senior or high-performance level
  • Proven experience in program planning, lesson development, and the successful delivery of athlete development pathways
  • Demonstrated experience preparing athletes and partnerships for competition
  • Strong technical knowledge of Acrobatic Gymnastics skill development and progression
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a coaching team while also managing programs independently
  • Commitment to athlete wellbeing, safety, and positive coaching practices
  • Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
  • Current working rights within Australia
