Our Opportunity
Our Buying Assistant role will proactively support the Buyer in the product development cycle. You will be working closely and building strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders and will display initiative in supporting and partnering with the Buyer to improve the financial results of the business and achieve overall business objectives.
With your keen fashion sense, strong administrative capabilities and high attention to detail, you will hit the ground running across the various facets and functions of the role and team while always learning and developing in this space.
You will be assisting with the product development process, maintaining and developing effective supplier relationships and maintaining effective communication with many other departments.
What your day-today will look like
Demonstrate an understanding of fashion trends, aligned to the Suzanne Grae customer
Communicate creative input and make suggestions to the product being developed
Provide input to garment construction, fabrics and their performance I styling and durability
Administration associated with the effective management of critical path
Ensure preparation of reports and products etc for weekly sales meetings
Attend fit sessions
Attend supplier appointments as required
Liaise with suppliers and build effective supplier relationships
Communicate regularly with store teams and various departments
Our ideal candidate will have
Sound knowledge and proficiency in MS Suite
A proactive, collaborative and adaptable nature
