Retail Supervisor

The Retail Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the store, including supervising staff and ensuring the smooth and efficient running of retail operations in line with company standards, customer expectation, and compliance requirements.

You will be reporting directly to the Business Owner.

Task & responsibilities

• Coordinating daily retail operations and supervising staff to ensure the store runs efficiently
• Managing staff attendance, shift allocations, and weekly rosters
• Providing leadership, direction, and on-the-job training to sales and service staff
• Maintaining high customer service standards and professionally resolving customer inquiries and complaints
• Assessing returned goods and determining appropriate action in accordance with store policies
• Overseeing stock control, including ordering, receiving deliveries, and maintaining inventory accuracy
• Ensuring products are correctly priced, displayed, and merchandised in line with business standards
• Monitoring cash handling procedures, EFTPOS transactions, and daily takings
• Assisting with staff recruitment, induction, and ongoing performance management
• Ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety, food safety, and company policies
• Reporting operational issues, staff matters, and performance outcomes to management

Qualification & experience

Qualification Requirement: AQF Certificate II or Certificate III, or overseas equivalent (ANZSCO Skill Level 2).

Work Experience Requirement: At least 1 year of full-time work experience as a Retail Supervisor in the last 5 years.
