Task & responsibilities

Organize all store operations and allocate responsibilities to personnel.
Supervise and guide staff towards maximum performance.
Prepare and control the store’s budget, aiming for minimum expenditure and maximum efficiency.
Monitor stock levels and purchases and ensure they remain within budget.
Deal with complaints from customers to maintain the store’s reputation.
Inspect areas in the store and resolve any issues that might arise.
Plan and oversee in-store promotional events or displays.
Keep abreast of market trends to determine the need for improvements in the store.
Analyze sales and revenue reports and make forecasts.
Ensure the store fulfils all legal health and safety guidelines.
Determine product mix, stock levels, and service standards.
Formulate and implement purchasing and marketing policies, and set prices.
Promote and advertise the establishment’s goods and services.
Sell goods and services to customers and advise them on product use.
Maintain records of stock levels and financial transactions.
Undertake budgeting for the establishment.
Control the selection, training, and supervision of staff.
Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.

Qualification & experience

Certificate III in Retail or Diploma of Management, or a related qualification in retail or business management.
Additional training in retail operations, customer service, or business administration will be highly regarded.
Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a retail supervisory or management role.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
Experience in stock control, merchandising, and day-to-day retail store operations.
Proven ability to deliver high levels of customer service and resolve customer issues professionally.
Ability to manage staff rosters, monitor sales performance, and maintain store presentation standards.
Sound understanding of workplace health and safety and retail compliance requirements.
