Retail Manager

Get excited, Ranjit Jewellers Pty Ltd is looking for Retail Manager for their Melton store. As the Retail Manager, you will be responsible for the full operational performance. This is a hands‑on leadership role where you will guide the team, manage daily operations, and ensure every customer receives a premium jewellery retail experience. You will be the key driver of store success, balancing people leadership, sales performance, stock management, and customer service excellence.

Task & responsibilities

• Drive sales targets through effective team motivation and customer engagement
• Analyse sales reports to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
• Implement strategies to grow business
• Support promotional campaigns and seasonal events to maximise store performance
• Provide expert product knowledge on jewellery, stones, metals, and after‑care
• Uphold the brand’s reputation for trust, quality, and service
• Oversee daily opening and closing procedures
• Manage store presentation, cleanliness, and visual merchandising to brand guidelines
• Monitor stock levels, conduct stocktakes, and manage inventory accuracy
• Coordinate with suppliers and head office for stock replenishment
• Ensure secure handling of high‑value items and maintain proper storage procedures
• Identify slow‑moving stock and recommend merchandising or promotional actions
• Supervise, train, and mentor staff to build a confident, high‑performing team
• Create a positive, supportive work culture that encourages teamwork and accountability
• Manage staff rosters to ensure adequate coverage during working periods

Qualification & experience

Essential

• Completion of an AQF‑relevant Diploma
• Minimum two years experience as a Retail Manager
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• High attention to detail, especially when handling valuable merchandise
• Strong organisational and problem‑solving abilities

Highly Desirable

• Jewellery retail experience or knowledge of diamonds, gold, and gemstones
• Experience in a luxury retail environment
• Ability to train staff in product knowledge and customer service techniques
