VAIVEN PTY LTD operating as Solo Smithfield Plains, a busy petrol station, is currently seeking a proactive, reliable, and experienced Retail Manager to take the lead in running our petrol station located in Smithfield Plains, South Australia.
This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring that the station operates efficiently and delivers outstanding service to the local community and travellers alike.
Type: Full-Time Permanent (38 hours per week)
Location: Smithfield Plains, SA
Remuneration: $77,000 – $80,000 per annum, plus superannuation
Start Date: As soon as possible
Oversee the full operations of the petrol station, including forecourt and convenience store functions.
Supervise and support team members to deliver high standards in customer service and safety.
Maintain optimum stock levels by managing inventory, ordering supplies, and coordinating with vendors.
Implement and monitor daily operating procedures to ensure a smooth and compliant business operation.
Prepare and track sales reports, identify trends, and implement strategies to improve performance by creating and executing marketing strategies and promotions at the store.
Ensure accurate handling of cash and EFTPOS transactions, reconciliations, and daily reporting.
Manage rostering and staff coverage to ensure efficient store operation across all shifts.
Uphold workplace safety standards and ensure compliance with relevant health, safety, and environmental policies.
Respond to and resolve customer concerns or operational issues promptly and professionally.
Previous experience in a retail management role, preferably in a service station or fast-paced retail setting.
Ability to lead, supervise and develop a small team to maintain consistent service standards.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong customer focus.
Sound knowledge of inventory control, financial reporting, and operational planning.
Confidence in handling customer queries, staff issues, and day-to-day challenges independently.
High level of responsibility and reliability, with the ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
