Namaste Supermarket is seeking an experienced and motivated Retail Store Manager to oversee the daily operations of our busy supermarket in Salisbury. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing staff, maintaining stock levels, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving sales performance.

Task & responsibilities

● Oversee all day-to-day retail operations to ensure smooth and efficient store management.

● Lead, train, and develop a dedicated team to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction and sales.

● Monitor inventory, sales performance, and stock levels to ensure optimal product availability.

● Implement and evaluate marketing strategies to increase store traffic and sales.

● Develop and maintain positive customer relationships to foster loyalty.

● Manage budgets, financial performance, and cost controls to meet business targets.

● Ensure adherence to all health and safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.

● Prepare regular reports on sales, team performance, and operational issues.

● Plan and organize special displays, promotions, and advertising campaigns.

Plan staff rosters to cover operating hours (9:00 am - 7:00 pm).


Qualification & experience

● At least 1-2 years of work experience in the Retail Sector.

● Proven experience in retail management or a related field.

● Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage and motivate a team.

● Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

● Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.

● Knowledge of stock control, inventory management, and retail software systems.

● A strong sales focus with the ability to drive business growth.

● Relevant qualifications in retail, management, or business (desirable).
