About The Role Sapphire Mitre 10 Pambula is looking for an outgoing and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Casual Retail Sales Assistant. This role is ideal for someone enthusiastic, motivated, and detail-oriented, with a passion for continuous improvement. You’ll work closely with both team members and customers, building strong, long-term relationships while delivering exceptional service. This is a casual position operating across a 7-day rotating roster, with the potential to transition into a permanent part-time role in the future. What You’ll Be Doing Welcoming and assisting customers at the front counter Processing sales through our POS system Responding to phone enquiries and supporting click-and-collect orders Maintaining a neat, organised, and well-stocked front-of-store area Collaborating with a close-knit team to deliver outstanding customer service What You’ll Bring Strong computer skills and excellent attention to detail Clear and confident communication skills (written and verbal) A positive, team-oriented attitude Ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment A genuine passion for delivering exceptional customer service A forklift licence (highly desirable) Experience in the hardware industry (well regarded) What We Offer Opportunities for additional shifts for the right candidate Ongoing training and exposure to the construction industry Career development and succession opportunities within a large, multifaceted business About Us For over 50 years, Sapphire Mitre 10 has proudly supported local communities as an independent hardware retailer.
