We are working with a tier-one Australian law firm who are seeking a Senior Associate Solicitor to join their Energy & Resources team within their Perth office.

The Role

The successful candidate will join an esteemed Projects & Transactions practice, working on some of the most high-profile and complex Energy projects across Australia. The candidate’s duties will include advising on joint ventures and JOAs, acquisitions and divestments in the mining and oil & gas sectors, project development and expansions, including renewables transactions, and supporting clients in regulatory matters, involving mining and oil & gas operations and the supply of electricity and gas.

The candidate will play a key role in leading on high-value mining, oil & gas and energy transactions in Australia, as well as supporting clients on national and cross-border transactions and projects involving assets across Australia, Asia and Papua New Guinea.

Our client is happy to consider international lawyers who wish to relocate to Perth for this opportunity.

Essential Criteria
  • 6+ years’ PQE;
  • Strong background in mining, oil & gas, or renewables within a medium to large commercial firm;
  • Strong academics;
  • Technically excellent;
  • Negotiation skills;
  • Willingness to become involved in business development;
  • Ability to work independently and as a team.
