As part of the KTM Group team, the Marketing Operations Coordinator will play a critical role in the successful execution of KTM Group Australia's marketing and motorsport activities. This hands-on position is responsible for coordinating marketing event logistics, managing marketing assets and marketing fleet operations, supporting motorsport activities, and ensuring the efficient operation of the marketing and motorsport workshop and storage environments. This is a very hands on role. 

The Marketing Operations Coordinator should be comfortable in a hands-on or outdoor environment, as well as an office-based one, as required duties include both. They should also be willing and able to work weekends, flexible hours and to travel both nationally and internationally when required.

 

Main duties/Responsibilities

Marketing & Activation Operations

  • Provide operational and logistical support for marketing, dealer, media and motorsport events as outlined in annual activity plans.
  • Coordinate the preparation, transport, setup and pack-down of marketing and promotional assets for events, activations and exhibitions.
  • Organise and manage operational aspects of marketing events in accordance with company policies, OHS requirements and relevant legal regulations.
  • Ensure KTM Group brands are represented professionally and consistently in line with corporate identity guidelines and brand standards.
  • Liaise with internal departments and external suppliers to ensure event requirements are delivered efficiently, on time and within budget.
  • Support event execution through on-site attendance and operational assistance where required.

Marketing Asset Management

  • Manage and maintain all marketing promotional assets, including displays, signage, event infrastructure, merchandise and activation equipment.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and asset tracking systems.
  • Ensure all marketing assets are stored safely, remain in good working condition and reflect current corporate branding.
  • Coordinate repairs, replacements and updates of damaged, outdated or missing assets.
  • Manage the Marketing and Motorsport vehicle fleet, including race transporters, marketing vehicles and trailers.
  • Coordinate vehicle servicing, maintenance, repairs, registrations and compliance requirements.
  • Maintain fleet records and ensure all vehicles and equipment are operational and event ready.
  • Identify and resolve fleet-related issues in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Marketing Support – Workshop, Logistics, Freight

  • Oversee the workshop and storage environments to ensure a safe, organised and efficient workspace for all departments.
  • Coordinate housekeeping standards and workspace organisation across shared operational areas.
  • Manage inventory levels and procurement of workshop consumables, equipment and supplies.
  • Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements within operational areas.
  • Coordinate freight, transport and logistics requirements for Marketing and Motorsport activities.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring timely delivery of event assets, motorcycles and equipment.
  • Support departments with urgent freight requirements and missing parts dispatches when required.
  • Maintain strong relationships with freight providers and logistics partners to ensure reliable service and cost efficiency.

 

 

Experience/Skills

  • 10+ Year’s Experience in event management, marketing or project management for KTM Motorcycle Brand
  • Excellent MS office skills
  • High attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, to interact and engage with internal and external partners
  • Very good hands-on practical skills for event operations and logistics
  • Ability to work in an office environment, with a high degree of computer literacy.
  • Independent and structured working methods
  • Open-minded, positive and can-do attitude
  • Enthusiasm for motorcycles
  • Lateral thinker with excellent planning, organisation and time management skills. 
  • Ability to remain focused, productive and organised whilst managing multiple tasks and projects. 
  • The ability to think creatively and produce out of the box solutions. 
  • Ability to quickly develop and execute strategies. 
  • Ability to manage a budget and work within guidelines. 
  • Experience in identifying opportunities and measure return on investments. 
  • Experience in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to adapt to a variety of working environments. 
  • Ability to work flexible hours and weekends. 
  • Ability to negotiate agreements and mediate disputes. 
  • Ability to work effectively with all sorts of people.
  • Flexibility to travel nationally and internationally as required. 
  • Heavy Vehicle licence or willingness to obtain is essential. 
  • An understanding of staffing, budgets and logistics is essential, along with developed network of contractors and suppliers across both Australia and New Zealand.
  • Experience with managing staff is also crucial, although no direct reports and is very hands on, the role also requires extensive liaising with contractors, suppliers, and key stakeholders.
  • The role is very hands on physically demanding which requires regular travel within Australia for events and setting up and cleaning of equipment eg gazebos, tables, banners, packing/unpacking trucks etc. Weekend work is required.
