Full-time, fixed term position until 31st October 2026Exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Research Development Officer in the higher education sector to join the Research Operations teamBase Salary $126,065 - $142,171 (HEO8) + 17% superannuation About the opportunity As the Senior Research Development Officer, you will play a key role in supporting research funding performance at the University by providing strategic advice to researchers to develop high quality, successful research grant applications. In partnership with faculties and schools, you will be responsible for developing and delivering development activities and supporting the development of processes and systems for the identification of research opportunities for researchers, to enhance funding success. Your key responsibilities will be to:work within a dynamic team, reporting to the Research Development Managerprovides strategic advice to help researchers secure competitive research funding and build research reputation for the Universityproactively support the development of systematic mechanisms for identification of research opportunities for researchersmanage and support the provision of research development services and resources provided by the Pipeline and Pre-Award Teambuild and maintain key stakeholder relationships, research development activities and communicationsactively contribute to a positive team culture for research development in partnership with faculties across the universitymaintain a sound working knowledge and awareness of work health and safety regulations and operating procedures. About youtertiary qualifications and/or relevant work experience in a related fielda demonstrated ability to provide sound strategic research development advice and support to researchersexcellent analytical, strategic and critical thinking skills with demonstrated experience in evaluating complex problems/information to make sound judgementsa strong understanding of the higher education sector environment and culture, and the research funding landscapea sound knowledge of Government policies and procedures regarding research funding and processes related to identifying, securing and managing fundingknowledge of strategy and policy development, planning and policy review and implementationa track record of achievement in the development and success of research grant applications.
