Our Client is a leading provider of innovative engineering solutions, located in the North/ Western suburbs of Adelaide . With a strong commitment to quality, efficiency, and sustainability, we deliver complex engineering projects . They are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to join the team.

Position Overview

The Procurement Specialist will play a key role in managing the sourcing, purchasing, and supply chain functions that support our engineering projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in an engineering or technical environment and demonstrate strong negotiation and supplier management skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers for materials, components, and services required for engineering projects.

  • Prepare and issue purchase orders in alignment with project timelines and budget requirements.

  • Collaborate with engineering, project management, and production teams to understand technical specifications and ensure procurement supports project goals.

  • Manage vendor relationships to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and on-time delivery.

  • Monitor market trends, pricing, and supplier performance to identify cost-saving opportunities.

  • Maintain accurate procurement records, contracts, and documentation in compliance with company policies.

  • Resolve supplier-related issues such as delays, quality concerns, and payment discrepancies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.

  • Minimum 3 years of procurement experience in an engineering, construction, or manufacturing environment.

  • Strong understanding of technical drawings, specifications, and industrial materials.

  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.

  • Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).

  • Knowledge of ISO standards and procurement compliance regulations is a plus.
