Job Purpose
We are seeking an experienced State Manager to lead our road and rail operations across New South Wales. In this leadership role, you will provide both operational and strategic direction to deliver our Landside Logistics strategy, drive strong financial performance, strengthen customer partnerships, and embed a safety‑first culture.
You will lead a high‑performing team, ensuring accountability for key performance indicators while coaching frontline and mid-level leaders to enhance operational capability, safety outcomes, and customer satisfaction. Collaboration with national leaders will also be essential to ensure alignment with broader business objectives.
This is a permanent full-time position, working Monday to Friday on the day shift, based at our Yennora operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead operational teams across road and rail, ensuring alignment with national objectives while delivering exceptional service, safety, and sustainable growth
Provide strategic and operational guidance to direct reports to successfully execute the Landside Logistics strategy
Build and maintain a high-performing team culture focused on safety, people development, financial performance, customer service, and continuous improvement
Drive accountability for key performance indicators and collaborate with national leaders and cross-functional teams to ensure consistent service delivery
Coach and develop frontline and mid-level leaders to enhance safety, operational capability, and customer satisfaction across all port logistics operations in NSW
Qualifications, Skills and Experience required:
Strong senior management experience in container logistics sector, with a proven track record of driving growth and profitability
Experience leading commercial operations, IT systems, and medium-to-large scale projects
Strong commercial acumen with a history of achieving sustained business performance and outcomes
Expertise in analysing data and trends to develop and implement strategies that optimise operations
Proven ability to lead transformational change, drive innovation, and improve processes
Highly self-motivated leader, committed to company growth and achieving strategic objectives
