We are looking for an experienced and capable Procurement Officer to spearhead the purchasing process from selecting suppliers to ensuring stock optimisation, as well as provide guidance on sourcing and procurement processes. Position Purpose The Procurement Officer will manage the purchasing activities, including sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring cost-effective, timely acquisition of goods and services as required by the company.

Ensuring quality control and adhering to the company’s policies and procedures on supply chain management. The Right Person will:

Plan for the purchase of equipment, services and supplies Research, evaluate, and maintain a database of qualified suppliers and vendors Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms to achieve cost reductions and favorable, high-quality agreements whilst building and maintaining long-term relationships with them

Processing purchase orders (POs), tracking orders, and ensuring timely delivery Monitor stock levels, maintain accurate purchasing records, and updating inventory data Ensure all procurement activities comply with legal requirements and company policies.

Analyse market trends to optimise procurement strategies Monitor procurement policies and procedures Prepare procurement reports

Qualification, Experience, and Skills: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, or related field Proven experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management

Experience using supply chain management software and tools In-depth knowledge of preparing and reviewing contracts, invoicing, and negotiation terms Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access) Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks High attention to detail and organisational skills
