Truck Driver

Tara Singh Sandhu Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced and reliable Truck Driver to join our growing transport operations based in Western Australia. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods across local and regional routes while maintaining high standards of safety, compliance, and professionalism.

Task & responsibilities

• Manoeuvring trucks and heavy vehicles into position for safe and efficient loading and unloading.
• Loading and unloading vehicles using appropriate lifting, tipping, and handling equipment in accordance with operational requirements.
• Observing and complying with workplace health and safety regulations during all loading and unloading activities.
• Performing routine vehicle inspections and conducting regular quality and safety checks to ensure the vehicle remains roadworthy.
• Estimating load weights to ensure compliance with legal load limits and ensuring correct and safe weight distribution.
• Securing, stowing, and covering goods appropriately to prevent damage, loss, or spillage during transit.
• Verifying consignment and delivery documentation, inspecting the condition of goods, and obtaining proof of delivery or required certifications from clients.

Qualification & experience

• Relevant licence (HR, HC or MC – depending on vehicle type).
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a truck driver preferred.
• Sound knowledge of road rules and fatigue management regulations.
• Good driving record and commitment to safety.
• Ability to work independently and meet delivery schedules.
• Basic mechanical knowledge is advantageous.
• Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks.
