Our client, a leading global maritime company, is seeking a qualified lawyer to join their Australia office as part of the Legal team. Reporting to the General Counsel, this role offers exposure to maritime disputes, insurance coordination, and commercial contract review, providing a dynamic and varied in-house experience in a fast-paced international environment. Key ResponsibilitiesProvide end-to-end legal support to global business units, advising on maritime and corporate law matters, overseeing insurance issues, and managing corporate transactions such as loan agreements, mergers and acquisitions, and joint ventures.Design, implement, and continuously enhance compliance programs, focusing on sanctions, anti-bribery, anti-corruption, and anti-trust regulations.Review, negotiate, and finalize commercial contracts across various business areas.Stay abreast of legal and regulatory developments, offering guidance on their impact on company policies and operations. Qualifications:Qualified lawyer with at least 6 years of post-qualification experience, preferably across a mix of private practice and in-house rolesStrong expertise in corporate, commercial, and maritime law, with the ability to deliver pragmatic, solution-focused legal adviceExperience handling cross-border matters and collaborating with diverse regional teamsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsSolid commercial acumen and a practical approach to problem-solving Please email your cv directly to [email protected] in word format.
