Duties and Responsibilities

• Follow daily job schedules to ensure timely completion of deliveries
• Operate heavy vehicles safely and efficiently in compliance with WA road rules and transport legislation
• Conduct pre-start inspections and report mechanical or safety issues
• Perform preventative vehicle maintenance checks
• Hook and unhook trailers and dollies when required
• Secure loads appropriately to prevent damage or injury
• Complete digital dockets and submit weighbridge documentation to the office for verification
• Maintain accurate delivery and pickup records
• Adhere strictly to fatigue management regulations
• Communicate with the operations team regarding delivery updates or operational issues
• Ensure the company vehicle is kept clean, fuelled, and roadworthy
• Transport bulk construction materials safely to various sites
• Maintain high standards of workplace health and safety (OH&S compliance)
• Provide professional and respectful customer service to clients and site personnel

Essential Requirements

• Valid HC or MC Driver’s Licence
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in heavy vehicle driving
• At least 2 years’ experience operating Road Trains in WA
• Proven experience in bulk haulage
• Strong understanding of fatigue management regulations
• Ability to operate digital docket systems (experience preferred)
• Excellent communication skills and professional presentation
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and positive attitude

Highly Regarded

• Road train and multi-combination vehicle experience
• Additional site inductions
• Experience within transport or construction material haulage sectors
