ATOM is seeking a commercially astute and highly motivated Supplier Commercial Lead to provide strategic ownership of supplier commercials across the Group.
Reporting to the Head of Category, this role will lead the commercial governance, performance visibility, and process optimisation of supplier agreements, trading terms, rebates, pricing activity, renewals, and associated reporting. You will partner closely with Category, Finance, Supply Chain, and senior stakeholders to strengthen commercial controls, influence decision-making, and drive improved commercial outcomes across the business.
What You’ll Be Doing
Lead the strategic oversight and governance of supplier commercials, including trading terms, rebates, pricing movements, contract status, and key agreement milestones
Design and embed robust commercial processes, controls, and reporting frameworks that improve visibility, consistency, and business discipline
Provide commercial insight and analysis to support pricing decisions, margin protection, supplier performance reviews, and broader category strategy
Drive the management of supplier agreements, renewals, amendments, and obligations to reduce risk and strengthen commercial outcomes
Support and influence supplier negotiations through the preparation of commercial models, recommendations, and scenario analysis
Establish clear reporting and performance measures for supplier commercials, identifying risks, trends, and opportunities for improvement
Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to align commercial activity with broader business priorities, operational requirements, and financial objectives
Identify structural improvement opportunities and lead initiatives that enhance the commercial operating model, governance standards, and ways of working
Act as a trusted subject matter lead on supplier commercial matters, providing guidance, challenge, and direction to internal stakeholders
About You
You are an experienced commercial professional with the ability to combine strategic thinking, analytical rigour, and process leadership. You are comfortable operating across functions, influencing stakeholders, and bringing structure and discipline to complex supplier commercial environments.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
A relevant degree in commerce, business, finance, procurement, supply chain, or a related discipline
Demonstrated experience in a commercial, procurement, category, finance, or supplier management role with meaningful exposure to supplier agreements and commercial governance
Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate insight into strategic recommendations and business action
Proven capability to design, improve, and embed processes, controls, and reporting frameworks in a dynamic business environment
Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the confidence to work effectively across senior internal stakeholders and suppliers
A high level of analytical capability, commercial judgement, and attention to detail
A proactive leadership mindset, with the drive to challenge existing practices and deliver continuous improvement
The ability to operate with autonomy, prioritise effectively, and deliver outcomes in a complex and fast-paced environment
