The Opportunity - Commercial Manager We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Manager to take ownership of major subcontractor packages and joint venture agreements, including the design joint venture and key delivery partners. Reporting to the Subcontracts Manager, you will play a critical role in the financial and commercial success of this multi-billion-dollar infrastructure project. This role requires exceptional commercial acumen, strong stakeholder engagement skills, and the ability to manage complex contractual negotiations while ensuring compliance, governance, and financial performance. Key Responsibilities Subcontract and Supplier Management - Lead negotiations, draft agreements, and oversee major contract packagesJoint Venture and Partner Engagement - Collaborate with key JV partners, including the design joint venture and Tier One contractorsContract Lifecycle Management - Ensure contracts are executed, monitored, and closed out effectivelyClaims and Dispute Resolution - Handle claims, variations, and commercial negotiations to safeguard project profitabilityFinancial Oversight - Manage budgets, cost control, forecasting, and financial reportingStakeholder Leadership - Develop and maintain strong relationships with key project partners, subcontractors, and internal teamsCompliance and Governance - Ensure adherence to contractual obligations, legal requirements, and best-practice commercial management What We're Looking For Tertiary qualification in Commercial Management, Contract Law, Finance, or a related fieldMinimum 10 years' experience in construction/commercial management, with at least five years in major infrastructure projects or PPP environmentsProven success in subcontractor and joint venture management, including large-scale commercial negotiationsStrong commercial acumen with expertise in risk management, claims resolution, and contract governanceExperience working in collaborative, relationship-driven project environmentsDemonstrated leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop commercial teams Why Join Us?
