PRACTICE NURSE MANAGER

About the Opportunity

An exciting leadership opportunity is available for a Practice Nurse Manager at our busy medical centre in Wyoming.

This position is ideal for a confident clinical leader who enjoys mentoring others, optimising systems, and ensuring high standards of patient care. You will oversee the daily operations of the treatment room, guide and support the nursing team, and work in partnership with the Practice Manager and GPs to ensure seamless clinical service delivery.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

In this key leadership role, you will:

  • Lead, coach and support a team of nurses to deliver safe, high-quality, patient-focused care

  • Manage day-to-day treatment room operations, including workflow, staffing and clinical efficiency

  • Ensure compliance with clinical governance, safety, and quality standards

  • Work collaboratively with the Practice Manager to monitor performance and support operational improvements

  • Partner with GPs to coordinate health assessments, care planning, and chronic disease management

  • Foster a positive, respectful and collaborative team culture

  • Promote and uphold workplace health and safety standards

About You

You are an experienced Registered Nurse or Nurse Manager who combines strong clinical capability with natural leadership skills. You are organised, proactive, and passionate about creating a supportive team environment while maintaining exceptional patient care standards.

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse

  • Demonstrated experience leading or mentoring nursing teams

  • Previous experience in general practice or primary healthcare (highly regarded)

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and delegate effectively

  • A genuine commitment to patient-centred care
