About the role:
This is a rare opportunity to work closely with our Group General Counsel (who also holds the role of Company Secretary) and Senior Legal Counsel within a dynamic, privately owned WA business, spanning aviation and tourism industries.

Reporting to the General Legal Counsel, this role supports the HMC Group Legal team in delivering efficient, commercially-focused legal and compliance services across the Group. The role offers hands-on involvement in contract lifecycle systems, insurance portfolio management, and broader legal administration.

Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Provide high quality administrative and coordination support to the Legal Team.

  • Maintain accurate and compliant corporate registers.

  • Manage the relevant contract management system, including data entry, reporting, tracking key dates and ensuring data accuracy.

  • Track and monitor key regulatory reporting deadlines.

  • Assist in drafting legal documents with support from the Legal Team.

  • Assist with the administration of the Group’s insurance portfolio, including preparing claims and coordinating with the insurance brokers.

  • Conduct foundational legal research tasks.

  • Support legal and compliance initiatives and projects.

  • Coordinate execution of agreements, including e-signature and document control.

About you:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a paralegal, legal secretary or legal administrative role.

  • Previous experience within commercial law.

  • Qualification in Legal Services or equivalent experience is desirable.

  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

  • High attention to detail and strong document management capability.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with legal or document management systems.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proactive, reliable, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.

  • Professional, adaptable, and willing to learn in a dynamic environment.

  • A genuine team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to manage competing priorities and maintain a high standard of work.
