Cyber Security AnalystMelbourne South Eastern Suburbs3 Month Contract - Daily Rate3 years plus experience in Cybersecurity The OpportunityAs a Cyber Security Analyst, you will play a key role in protecting critical business systems, networks, and data assets. Working closely with IT and business stakeholders, you'll be responsible for monitoring security events, identifying vulnerabilities, responding to incidents, and driving continuous improvement across the organisation's cyber security landscape. This is a fully onsite position, Monday to Friday, offering the opportunity to work within a collaborative and technology-driven environment. Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor, investigate, and respond to security alerts and incidents.Conduct threat and vulnerability assessments across infrastructure and applications.Support incident response activities, including root cause analysis and remediation.Maintain and improve security controls, policies, and procedures.Perform security monitoring using SIEM and endpoint protection platforms.Assist with cyber risk assessments and compliance initiatives.Work closely with internal stakeholders to enhance security awareness and best practices.Contribute to security projects and continuous improvement initiatives.Prepare security reports, documentation, and recommendations for management. About YouExperience working in a Cyber Security Analyst, Security Operations, or Information Security role.Strong understanding of cyber security frameworks, risk management, and security best practices.Experience with SIEM platforms, security monitoring, and incident response.Knowledge of network security, endpoint protection, identity and access management, and vulnerability management.Exposure to cloud environments such as Azure and/or AWS.Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities. Desirable Skills & CertificationsMicrosoft Defender and Sentinel experience.Security+, SC-200, SC-900, CEH, CISSP, or similar certifications.Experience working within enterprise or highly regulated environments.
