Business Administration Supervisor

At Haars Nursery, our Business Operations Team is the backbone of the business, connecting administration, operations and leadership to support growth, performance and compliance.

Here at Haars, our workforce is diverse and spans every stage of the plant journey - from propagation, growing, potting and despatch. All our departments’ successes are underpinned by our Business Operations Team - the glue between administration, operations and management, supporting business objectives, continued growth and compliance.

The Role

Your focus will be on supervising and supporting the Business Operations team’s day-to-day administrative workflow along with providing practical coaching, development and feedback. Daily, you will:

• Promote and maintain working relationships across all departments.
• Support team outputs across the product ordering process.
• Provide business and sales support by updating and maintaining customer website products listings and maintaining claims reports.

What you’ll bring

• Demonstrated experience in supervising an administrative team.
• An ability to multi-task, stay organised and remain calm under pressure.
• Proven experience and ability to coach, mentor and develop staff, including providing constructive feedback and supporting performance improvement.
• Confidence in resolving issues, providing clear, professional communication, and managing upwards.
• Exceptional attention to detail, computer literacy skills and a love of spreadsheets!

Hours & Flexibility

Office hours operate between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm so flexibility is essential. You may need to work beyond these hours to meet deadlines or support the team, and you’ll take part in a monthly Sunday rotation, working roughly one Sunday per month as part of our shared schedule.
