Role Description This full-time, on-site role is based in the Greater Melbourne Area and focuses on infrastructure, planning data, and portfolio analysis to support strategic decision-making across the MACS school network. The Infrastructure and Planning Data and Portfolio Analyst will collect, cleanse, and analyse data related to school facilities, enrolments, capacity, and demographic trends to inform long-term planning and capital investment decisions. The role will involve developing and maintaining dashboards, reports, and visualisations that present complex information clearly to senior leaders, principals, and other stakeholders. The analyst will support portfolio planning by evaluating project proposals, monitoring project performance, and tracking budget and timeline metrics across multiple initiatives. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams, preparing briefing papers and presentations, responding to data requests, and contributing to the continuous improvement of data quality, governance, and planning processes. Qualifications Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with experience in data modelling, data cleansing, and translating complex datasets into meaningful insights for non-technical stakeholders.Proficiency with data analysis and visualisation tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar) and comfort working with databases or data warehouses.Experience in infrastructure, asset, or portfolio planning, ideally within education, government, or large multi-site organisations.Ability to prepare clear reports, dashboards, and presentations that support strategic planning, business cases, and executive decision-making.Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and manage competing priorities.Well-developed organisational skills, including attention to detail, time management, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Relevant tertiary qualification in data analytics, statistics, business, urban planning, engineering, finance, or a related field.Understanding of, or willingness to learn about, the Catholic ethos and the mission of Catholic education, and to work respectfully within this context.Experience with GIS or
