Graphic and Digital Designer

About the role

K&W SIGNS is seeking a talented Graphic and Digital Designer to join our creative team on a part-time basis. Based in Mascot NSW 2020, this role offers the opportunity to create visually compelling designs across both digital and print mediums. As a Graphic and Digital Designer, you will be instrumental in bringing our clients' visions to life through innovative design solutions, contributing to the success of our signage and branding projects. This position plays a key role in maintaining K&W SIGNS' reputation for delivering high-quality, creative design work that stands out in the marketplace.

This part-time position requires 21-25 hours per week.

Key responsibilities

1. Develop and design original graphics, layouts and visual concepts for digital and print applications

2. Create designs for signage, branding materials, digital content and marketing collateral

3. Collaborate with clients and internal teams to understand project requirements and translate briefs into compelling visual designs

4. Utilise design software and tools to produce high-quality deliverables that meet brand guidelines and client specifications

5. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of designs whilst maintaining creative excellence

6. Incorporate client feedback and revise designs to achieve the desired final product

7. Stay current with design trends, industry developments and best practices in graphic and digital design

8. Prepare designs for production, ensuring technical specifications are met for various output formats

What we're looking for

1. Proven experience in graphic design and digital design with a strong portfolio demonstrating creative ability and technical proficiency

2. Minimum 3-5 years of graphic design experience is required

3. Proficiency in Coral Draw Graphic Suite - Not Essential

4. Proficiency in industry-standard design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), as well as digital design tools

5. Strong visual communication skills with the ability to interpret creative briefs and translate ideas into compelling designs

6. Knowledge of design principles, colour theory, typography and layout composition

7. Experience designing for both print and digital mediums, including signage, web graphics and marketing materials

8. Signage design experience is preferred but not essential

9. Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain consistency across multiple projects

10. Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a part-time capacity

11. Ability to work collaboratively with clients and team members whilst also demonstrating creative independence

12. Understanding of file formats, resolution requirements and technical specifications for various applications
