Southern Contracting Group is seeking an experienced and motivated Quarry Production Supervisor to oversee a mobile hard rock crushing and screening operation within the Adelaide Hills region. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader with experience in quarry production, mobile crushing operations and team management to take ownership of a significant project.

As the Quarry Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading a team of approximately 5–8 personnel and ensuring production, safety and operational objectives are consistently achieved.

The role requires a proactive and organised individual who can effectively manage day-to-day production operations, coordinate maintenance activities, analyse production performance and provide strong leadership in a dynamic quarry environment.

• Supervise and lead quarry production personnel, including crushing and screening operators.

• Ensure daily, weekly and monthly production targets are achieved safely and efficiently.

• Coordinate and monitor mobile crushing and screening operations.

• Work closely with the Maintenance Manager and maintenance team to plan and manage preventative maintenance and repairs.

• Monitor plant performance, identify operational issues and implement practical solutions.

• Maintain accurate production records, operational data and performance reporting.

• Promote and enforce a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with company and site requirements.

• Conduct daily pre-starts, toolbox meetings and workforce planning activities.

• Manage production schedules and operational priorities to maximise plant utilisation.

• Foster a positive and productive team environment through effective leadership and communication.

• Liaise with management regarding production outcomes, maintenance requirements and continuous improvement opportunities.

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

• Previous experience in a supervisory role within quarrying, crushing, mining or heavy industry.

• Strong understanding of hard rock quarry operations and aggregate production.

• Demonstrated leadership experience managing operational teams.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to perform under pressure.

• Strong organisational and communication skills.

• Experience with production reporting, operational data recording and KPI management.

• A proactive approach to safety, quality and continuous improvement.

• Current driver's licence.

• Relevant quarrying, mining or mobile plant experience/understanding
