Contract opportunity for aSenior Technical Business Analystto support a large-scale data migration from legacy mainframe systems to a modern cloud-based platform. The role focuses on data integrity, system integrations, and enabling a smooth transition within a complex enterprise environment. Initial 3-month contract with strong extension potential, hybrid Melbourne-based.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Define and document data migration requirements from legacy systems to cloud platforms
Produce data mapping, transformation, validation, and reconciliation documentation
Document API and system integration requirements, including triggers, sequencing, and error handling
Develop future-state data flow diagrams and identify removal of legacy dependencies
Create and maintain data dictionaries, metadata, and field-level mapping artefacts
Maintain requirements traceability across business and technical deliverables
Work closely with data architects, developers, vendors, and stakeholders
Support delivery of a large-scale system replacement program

REQUIREMENTS

Strong experience delivering data migration initiatives
Proven expertise migrating data from mainframe or legacy systems to cloud solutions
Solid understanding of data models, data quality, validation, and integrity controls
Experience defining API and system integration requirements
Ability to document detailed technical requirements for development teams
Strong understanding of system interfaces and integrations
Experience working in complex, regulated enterprise environments
Ability to work hybrid, Melbourne-based
