The DR Group is seeking a skilled and motivated Hardware Technician to join our team. This role involves installing, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing computer hardware and related systems across retail and client environments. The position requires advanced troubleshooting skills and the ability to handle complex hardware issues across multiple sites.

Install, configure, test, and maintain desktops, laptops, POS systems, printers, barcode scanners, and related IT equipment
Diagnose faults and repair or replace hardware components including RAM, storage devices, motherboards, and power supplies
Provide onsite and remote technical support, focusing on hardware-related issues and system functionality
Perform advanced troubleshooting and resolve complex hardware faults across client environments
Install and integrate hardware with operating systems and business applications
Assist with setup and configuration of network-connected devices such as routers, switches, and wireless access points
Support troubleshooting of connectivity issues related to hardware and device performance
Perform routine system maintenance, inspections, upgrades, and hardware lifecycle management
Update firmware, drivers, and system software to ensure optimal hardware performance
Support deployment and rollout of IT equipment across multiple client sites
Maintain accurate service records, job reports, and technical documentation
Provide end-user support and technical guidance on hardware usage and issues
Monitor and manage spare parts and IT equipment inventory
Assist with basic audio-visual (AV) equipment setup and hardware connectivity
Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety procedures
Relevant qualification in Information Technology (Diploma or higher)
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in hardware support or field technician roles
Strong knowledge of computer hardware systems, diagnostics, and repair techniques
Experience working with desktops, laptops, servers (hardware level), and peripheral devices
Ability to diagnose and resolve complex hardware-related issues independently
Good understanding of hardware integration with operating systems and applications
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Ability to work independently and travel to client sites
