Cabler (Data and Telecommunications)

Zoshar PTY LTD is seeking a skilled and motivated Cabler – Data and Telecommunications professional to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, testing, and maintaining structured cabling systems that support voice, data, and network communications across residential, commercial, and industrial sites.

You will work with copper and fibre optic cabling systems, ensuring all installations meet Australian industry standards and customer requirements. The role involves interpreting technical drawings, troubleshooting faults, and delivering high-quality cabling solutions that support reliable connectivity.

Task & responsibilities

• Install, terminate, and test structured cabling systems (data, voice, fibre) 
• Perform cable routing, dressing, and labelling in accordance with standards 
• Read and interpret cabling plans, drawings, and technical specifications 
• Diagnose and repair faults in existing telecommunications systems 
• Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with safety regulations 
• Install network equipment such as patch panels, switches, and outlets 
• Maintain accurate documentation of installations and test results 
• Collaborate with electricians, engineers, and project supervisors 
• Ensure all work complies with Australian Standards and client requirements 

Qualification & experience

• AQF Certificate III or AQF Certificate IV
• Minimum 1–2 years full-time experience in data and telecommunications cabling 
• Strong understanding of structured cabling systems and network infrastructure 
• Experience with copper and fibre optic installation and testing 
• Ability to read technical drawings and site plans 
• Knowledge of Australian cabling standards and WHS requirements 
• White Card (Construction Induction) required 
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills 
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
