ICT Business Analyst

As part of our continued growth and digital transformation initiatives, we are seeking an experienced ICT Business Analyst to support the implementation, integration, automation and optimisation of business-critical technology platforms across the organisation.

The successful candidate will work closely with management, operational teams, software providers and external stakeholders to analyse business processes, identify system requirements and support the delivery of IT solutions that enhance service delivery, compliance and operational efficiency.

Task & responsibilities

• Analyse and evaluate existing business processes, workflows and operational systems to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and technology-driven solutions.
• Consult with managers, operational teams and stakeholders to gather, document and validate business and system requirements.
• Prepare business requirements documents, functional specifications, process maps, user stories and other technical documentation.
• Conduct business and systems analysis to support the design, development and enhancement of organisational technology solutions.
• Facilitate stakeholder workshops, meetings and consultations to identify business needs and translate them into system requirements.
• Liaise with software vendors and implementation partners to ensure software solutions meet business objectives and operational requirements.
• Analyse and support integration requirements between client management, workforce management, payroll, finance and other business systems.
• Coordinate and support system implementation projects, including configuration reviews, business process alignment and change management activities.
• Develop, execute and manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT), validate system functionality, identify defects and ensure solutions meet agreed business requirements.
• Monitor system performance, identify process gaps and enhancement opportunities, and provide recommendations for continuous business and technology improvement.

Qualification & experience

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Information Systems or related discipline or a positive skill assessment from ACS.
• Minimum five years' experience in ICT Business Analysis, Systems Analysis or a related occupation to substitute qualification.
• Demonstrated experience gathering and documenting business requirements.
• Experience in business process mapping and process improvement.
• Strong stakeholder consultation and communication skills.
• Experience supporting enterprise software implementations and systems integration projects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
