About the Role

FixBox Phone Repairs is seeking a full-time Telecommunications Technician specialising in mobile device repair to join our growing team in the South West. The role involves diagnosing, repairing and servicing modern smartphones, tablets, and other electronic devices for customers across our three locations.

This position requires strong technical ability, attention to detail and the capacity to work efficiently in a fast-paced customer-service environment.

Full training can also be provided to high quality candidates that have a natural passion for technology.

Key Duties

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

  • Diagnosing faults in mobile phones, tablets, and small electronics
  • Performing repairs including screen replacements, battery replacements, charging port repairs, and component-level board work
  • Troubleshooting software, firmware and connectivity issues
  • Performing micro-soldering and board-level diagnostics (or willingness to learn)
  • Using specialised tools and equipment safely and accurately
  • Maintaining repair logs, workflow notes and service records
  • Providing clear, friendly customer service and technical advice
  • Managing stock levels and parts inventory when required
  • Ensuring repair quality, workplace safety, and cleanliness standards are met
  • Working across Dunsborough, Margaret River stores and pending north WA store.

Skills & Experience Required

Applicants must demonstrate:

  • At least 2 years’ experience in mobile device or electronics repair
  • Strong technical knowledge of Apple, Samsung and Android devices
  • Good understanding of electronics, circuits and diagnostic tools
  • Ability to work independently and maintain high repair quality
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Strong time-management and ability to handle multiple repairs

Qualifications

Highly regarded but not mandatory:

  • Certificate III or IV in Electronics, Telecommunications, or ICT Support
  • Industry repair certifications (Apple, Samsung, iFixit, or similar)

Hours

Full-time, 38 hours per week. Weekend availability is desirable. Immediate start available.
