Job Title: Cyber Security AnalystLocation: AustraliaJob Type: Full-time / Part-timeJob Responsibilities:Monitor and analyze security threats and vulnerabilities across the organization’s networks, systems, and applications.Investigate and respond to security incidents, conducting thorough analysis and providing timely resolution.Implement and maintain security tools and technologies (e.g., firewalls, intrusion detection systems, antivirus software) to safeguard IT infrastructure.Perform risk assessments and security audits to identify potential vulnerabilities and recommend improvements.Assist in the development, implementation, and enforcement of security policies, procedures, and best practices.Conduct security awareness training for employees to promote safe computing practices and reduce the risk of social engineering attacks.Stay updated on the latest cyber threats, security trends, and compliance requirements, adapting security measures accordingly.Collaborate with IT teams to design and deploy secure systems and applications, ensuring alignment with security protocols.Work with third-party vendors and partners to evaluate and implement secure solutions and ensure compliance with security standards.Generate reports and documentation on security incidents, assessments, and audits for management and compliance purposes.Qualifications:A Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.Proven experience in cyber security or IT security roles (internships or previous employment).Familiarity with security tools and technologies such as firewalls, antivirus software, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and encryption protocols.Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, etc.) and common operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS).Knowledge of security frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, PCI-DSS).Experience with incident response, risk assessments, and vulnerability management.Familiarity with threat intelligence and penetration testing tools is a plus.Security certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CISM, CEH) are highly desirable.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize security risks.Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.Benefits:Competitive salary based on experience.Flexible work options, including remote work opportunities.Health insurance, paid time off, and other employee benefits.Opportunities for career development, including access to certifications and professional training.A dynamic and inclusive work environment with a focus on innovation and growth.
