Rory's Group Australia is seeking a motivated and energetic Production & Catering Kitchen Team Leader to join our fast-paced production kitchen based in Cavan, SA.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone with strong kitchen experience who enjoys working in a high-volume environment and leading a diverse team. The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing daily kitchen production while supporting and guiding a multi-skilled team.

The Role

In this hands-on leadership position, you will work closely with and report directly to our Kitchen Operations Chef, helping to coordinate and oversee the daily operations of our production kitchen.

Our kitchen focuses on large-scale batch cooking and fresh food production, including salads, sandwiches, and a range of catering products servicing the corporate sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support a diverse team within a fast-paced production kitchen environment.

  • Assist with the coordination of daily kitchen production and workflow.

  • Ensure quality, consistency, and food safety standards are maintained.

  • Oversee bulk batch production of fresh food products.

  • Support team training, guidance, and day-to-day supervision.

  • Work collaboratively with the Kitchen Operations Chef to deliver efficient service and meet daily production and efficiency targets.

About You

  • Previous experience as a cook or chef in a high-volume kitchen

  • Experience with bulk batch cooking or production-style food preparation would be favourable.

  • Confident working with large, multi-skilled teams.

  • Prior team leader, supervisory, or leading hand experience, or someone that is ready to take the next step into this type of leadership role.

  • Strong organisational and communication skills.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Hours & Flexibility

This role can be offered as either Permanent Part-Time or Full-Time, depending on the successful candidate's availability.

  • Monday to Friday availability is essential.

  • No late nights.

  • Generally, no weekends, although the occasional weekend day(1) is required from time to time.

  • Early morning starts will be required.

  • Some flexibility in working hours can be offered.
