About the role

Due to the pipeline of work, we are a fast paced organisation experiencing remarkable growth and are looking to expand our team. We are looking for a highly experienced, and motivated Estimator with experience working on civil/bridge infrastructure and road projects. This role is based in Gregory Hills in the new business precinct area that is rapidly expanding.

Candidates must demonstrate specific estimating experience with both bridge infrastructure and road construction projects.

Roles & Responsibilities will include

• Compile and prepare first principle estimating, resource-based cost estimates with fully resourced program using company-supported estimating software.

• Provide data-base management services and reporting.

• Analysis and review of tender requirements.

• Development of program of work in consultation with the delivery team.

• Perform quantity take-off from construction drawings and other defined documents.

• Managing the review process to ensure award of subcontracts within required timeframe and budget.

• Minimising subcontractor variation claims.

• Prepare scope of works for tender packages to accompany request for quotations issued to subcontractors.

• Liaise and manage consultants, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors during tender, post-tender, and construction.

• Commercial and technical risk assessment analysis.

• Development of construction methodology in consultation with the construction team.

• Routinely performing project financial reviews to include analysis of the budget, cost/revenue, cost to complete, variations, progress, contractual claims, and other indicators.

About You

To be considered for this role you must have a degree and have previous civil estimating experience within Australia. If you do not have experience within the Australian market please do not apply.

Candidates must have current Australian work authorisation and established experience within the Australian construction market.

• Degree qualified or equivalent in Engineering, Quantity Surveying or similar.

• Minimum 2 years of civil estimating experience specifically within the Australian market is required

• Experience and success in cost planning and tendering construction projects across multiple market sectors

• Familiarity with Australian construction delivery and construction models and contracts

• Cubit Estimating Software experience is preferred, however training will be provided to suitable candidates.

• Advanced skills in Excel

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
