Overview

Join a long-established Australian-owned industrial business supplying a wide range of technical and trade products across multiple sectors. Known for reliability, product quality and strong customer relationships, the company operates a collaborative internal sales environment focused on service, accuracy and long-term partnerships.

This role sits within a close-knit internal sales team working closely with account managers, operations and logistics to support customers from enquiry through to delivery.

The Role

As Sales Support (Technical Products), you will play a vital role in keeping the sales process running smoothly. From processing customer orders and preparing quotes to maintaining CRM accuracy and assisting with product enquiries, you will be a key point of contact for customers and internal stakeholders.

Many of the products are technical and catalogue-based, so experience working with large product ranges, SKUs, or parts-based inventory will be highly valued.

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Responding to customer enquiries and processing sales orders accurately and efficiently
  • Preparing quotes, landed cost sheets and freight calculations
  • Managing and updating customer and order data within ERP/CRM systems
  • Following up on outstanding quotes, orders and backorders
  • Supporting the sales team with administrative and communication tasks
  • Assisting customers with product information across a large catalogue of technical products
  • Collaborating with operations and logistics teams to ensure delivery timelines are met

Your Profile

You will be someone who thrives on structure, accuracy and communication. With a background in sales support, internal sales, customer service or parts-based sales environments, you will bring strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

You will also have:

  • Experience in order processing, quoting or internal sales support
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent computer literacy including ERP/CRM systems and Microsoft Office
  • A proactive and collaborative attitude
  • Experience working with technical, industrial, tools, automotive parts or equipment-based products will be highly regarded
  • Comfort working with large product catalogues or SKU-based inventory
