Are you an exceptional sales professional with strong experience selling cladding solutions into residential and multi-residential builders?
MJM Recruit is partnering with a national distributor of building materials experiencing strong growth and expanding its presence across Victoria. We are seeking a high-performing Business Development Manager who understands the cladding market, knows how to build relationships with builders and developers, and thrives on winning new business.
This is a senior opportunity offering autonomy, market ownership, and the ability to drive significant growth across Melbourne and regional Victoria including Geelong.
The OpportunityReporting to the Regional Manager, you will take ownership of sales growth across Victoria, developing relationships with builders, developers and contractors while strengthening the company’s position as a trusted cladding partner.
This role combines strategic business development, key account management, and market expansion, ideal for someone who enjoys being on the road, meeting clients, and closing deals.
Key Responsibilities• Drive new business across residential and multi-residential construction projects
• Build strong relationships with builders, developers and key construction stakeholders
• Identify project opportunities early and position the company’s cladding solutions
• Manage key accounts while expanding market share across Victoria
• Lead pricing discussions, tenders and commercial negotiations
• Maintain strong pipeline management and forecasting through CRM systems
• Represent the business at industry events and client meetings
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
• Proven business development success within building materials or construction
• Direct experience selling cladding products (highly desirable)
• Strong networks with residential or multi-residential builders
• A track record of winning new business and exceeding sales targets
• Exceptional relationship-building and negotiation skills
• A proactive, results-driven approach with strong commercial awareness
• Willingness to travel across Melbourne and regional Victoria including Geelong
