Located in the Barossa Valley, South Australia, Laucke Mills is a family-owned stockfeed milling business, producing a range of quality stock and poultry feeds for both the domestic and commercial markets, supporting the ever-growing demand across Australia.
About the role:
This position is pivotal to the efficient production output of the plant. You will have the responsibility for monitoring consistent pellet quality along with accurate and efficient micro additive addition to ensure streamline production.
Duties Include:
Undertake daily maintenance of pellet presses - check roller settings and die bolts, punch die, check and clean press magnets
Responsible for production of quality pellets, monitoring heat, moisture and steam penetration
Weigh off vitamin micro additives per Premix Batch Sheet with a high level of attention to detail
Responsible for ensuring a safe and clean work environment is maintained at all times
Raise requests on MEX Ops for any mechanical or electrical maintenance issues
Support the bagging line operators as required to ensure efficient output and compliance within the packaging line
Other projects within position scope as needed and/or directed
Essential Requirements:
Hold a current Driver’s Licence
Current Forklift license is highly regarded
Sound Knowledge of Quality Control and WHS procedures
Work well in a team environment, as well as unsupervised
Prioritise workloads, show initiative and strong problem-solving skills
Communicate effectively, both verbal and written
Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new automated programs
This role operates on a 24/7 basis with rotating 12-hour day and night shifts, 4 days on / 4 days off, providing good work life balance and attractive remuneration.
On the job training is provided from our highly experienced team, with the opportunity for future progression to the position of Control Room Operator for the right candidate.
